Zhaohong Yi, Ph.D., Associate Professor,
Supervisor of Master’s student
Dr. Yi studied at the College of Biology, China Agricultural University from 1990 to 1997 and obtained Bachelor's and Master's degrees. She subsequently pursued her studies in Molecular Medicine at the Department of Physiology, School of Medicine in Gunma University in Japan from 1997 to 2003 and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree. She engaged postdoctoral research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in United States from 2003 to 2009. From 2010 to 2014, he served as an associate professor in the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2014, she joined the faculty of the College of Bioscience and Resources environment (formerly known as the College of Biotechnology and Engineering) at Beijing University of Agricultural, where she has been engaged in teaching and research. Her main teaching courses include Animal Biochemistry and Animal Physiology.
Research interests:
We use knockout or transgenic mouse models, combined with molecular biology and cell biology approaches to investigate the molecular mechanisms of mammalian early embryonic development and gamete formation.
Research projects:
The regulation role of BCAS2 in mouse spermatogenesis, supported from 2016 to 2018 by the "Beijing Natural Science Foundation General Project".
The mechanism of maternal factor ZEBD3 in mouse early embryo development, supported from 2017 to 2018 by the "Beijing Municipal Education Commission Research Program".
